Problem: No consistent way to collect online payments
Many of our network companies didn’t have a consistent or reliable way to collect online payments from their customers.
We introduced Payment Links within our neobank that lets companies charge and receive digital payments through secure, shareable links.

Understanding the problem
Many of our network companies didn’t have a consistent or reliable way to collect online payments from their customers.
Given the urgency, we spoke with three network company Presidents to learn how they currently collect payments, where the opportunity lies for digital payment links, and how this feature could bring value to their operations.
Leadership identified this as a high-priority opportunity to modernize how our businesses get paid and centralize payment activity within our neobank.
This project was driven by a clear business need rather than a traditional discovery process.

🏪 Company Presidents (External) | 🫡 Teamshares HQ (Internal) |
|---|---|
No consistent or reliable way to accept online payments. | Limited visibility into customer payments and cash inflows. |
Manual invoicing or checks led to delays and errors. | Hard to standardize financial reporting across portfolio companies. |
Third-party tools made reconciliation difficult and scattered data across multiple systems. | Disconnected payment processes slowed transaction tracking and insight. |

Solution
This is the final design iteration we moved forward with after positive feedback across all stakeholders.

Impact & Outcome
High adoption across all network companies using the neobank for payments.
Businesses now collect digital payments in hours, not days.
Increased digital transaction volume through Stripe integration.
All Payment Link transactions now appear directly within the neobank’s transaction table alongside other cash activity.
Teamshares can now track inflows across portfolio companies in real time, supporting better cash management and forecasting.
